I got a chance to see this gentleman's interview today on ESPN First Take. I like the way he is going about picking an NFL team, he isn't jumping on a bandwagon like many other fans have in the past, and he's not simply picking the team closest to his home which is how many fans are raised into loving their team. He has to decided to let the fans of each team try to convince him to be a part of their team's fanbase. He sent letters to each NFL team and has gotten responses from a few. His criteria for his final pick is:
1) Team Analysis -
a) History/Tradition (20 points)
b) Location (15 points)
c) Logo/Colors/Uniforms (15 points)
d) Fanbase (15 points)
e) Current Team (20 points)
f) Intangibles (15 points)
2) Weekly Events
3) Replies to Team Letters
4) Fan/Reader Response
5) Playoffs
***I challenge the fans on Yardbarker(the sports fans I consider the most passionate on the web) to go to this man's website and convince him to become a fan of your team. Show pride in your team in a different way, for once there will be someone listening when you defend your team and shout it's praises. When he makes his final decision I want him to have made that decision because the fans at Yardbarker told him to.... let's show him what it takes to be a true NFL die hard Fn fan!

For me, the Seahawks came into my sphere of consciuosness via their team plane. Imagine deciding for a team on the opposite side of the continent, in the days before the Internet or NFL Sunday Ticket. Those media make accessing info on any team just as easy, whether they be 3000-miles away, or an hour down the Interstate.
Kudos to a man who thinks for himself.
